Six Strategies to Get People Off your Social Media and into your Small Business

As a small business owner, your job is not to grow on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or Pinterest.

Many people misplace their focus, and hey! It happens. But you have to remember that your goal should be to get seen, loved, and connect on those platforms. Then you have to get every single one of your ideal clients off your social media and into your small business.

This should be your focus every day for every post and every story.

If you already have 10, 20, or 100 ideal customers ‘following’ you, and you can’t get them to convert to loyal loving customers or clients, then adding more people to your following isn’t going to help.

You need to learn how to get people to CONVERT first.

So while it’s important to get seen by the people you are perfect for, it’s just as important to make sure you have a way to get them off your social media and into your small business.

How do you do this? Here are Six Strategies to Get People Off your Social Media and into your Small Business:

GET PEOPLE OFF YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA AND INTO YOUR BIZ TO CONVERT:

Strategy #1: Position your offer to be magnetic.

The first thing is first if people can’t see why they need what you have, then they won’t be compelled to go any further with you!

You need to make sure your content sets the scene through your value proposition, points of difference, benefits, and transformations and showing WHY YOU!

Strategy #2: Call people to action all the time. Compellingly!

When you call people to action, make sure you tell them the BENEFITS of them acting.

Saying “head to the store now” is ok, but adding compelling reasons like “head to the store now to say goodbye to your small biz struggles” is even better. Show them the benefit of them acting so there are clear reasons to make it happen.

Strategy #3: Use urgency and scarcity to stop procrastination.

Countdowns, limited stops, stock left, special offers, showing appointments remaining, being clear about capped numbers. All of these things can help stop people saying “I’ll get to that later…” and then later never happening.

Scarcity and urgency (when used ethically) can supercharge conversions so focus on adding them to your business strategy.

Strategy #4: Create campaigns that increase impact & income.

Every business can benefit from a strong number of campaigns per year.

These do not need to be sales or discounts (although they can be), but can also be bundled offers, seasonal offers, special deals, or anything that catches people’s attention and helps them see that NOW is a great time to convert.

Strategy #5: Offer something that is extra enticing.

This is often called a lead magnet.

Lead magnets are a great way to build a profitable email list, help the consumer journey and nurture your audience more. They can also create more sales on the spot with a simple but strategic email sequence straight after to turn your warm audience into loyal, loving customers and clients. #winwin

Strategy #6: Stay front of mind!

Once you have people off your social media and into your business – your website, your email list, your groups, or anywhere else, stay front of mind!

Not everyone is ready to become your customer straight away but email marketing, abandoned cart emails, and retargeting ads can EXPLODE your conversions for the better.
